WAH-WAH x TONY ALBERT JUMPER
All aboard the mothership!
Tony Albert, one of Australia's most acclaimed contemporary artists, has teamed up with WAH-WAH to celebrate all that is alien.
Tony has spent his career blithely ignoring attempts to define or limit 'Aboriginal art'. He has worked in an impressive array of mediums: drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, and installation. Now, with this exciting new collaboration, he has added knitwear to the list! But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what Tony himself has to say:
At what point does first contact exist?
Woven into a cosmological web of (mis)understanding, this multifaceted thematic and portrayal of alien encounters is reconfigured over and over in my work.
In many respects for me, we are all aliens. Metaphorically this becomes interchangeable between the Indigenous and non-Indigenous, representing a complex layer of (in)visibility.
I want to beLIEve.

WAH-WAH sizing is unisex and the measurements above reflect the garment measurements in cm. We recommend measuring from underarm to underarm of a jumper (sweater) that you like the fit of, and choosing the nearest corresponding size. Keep in mind that the knitted superfine merino wool is pretty stretchy and forgiving, so there is a bit of leeway with sizing. For more info, check out the sizing gallery HERE.
