I kid! I kid! While you’d be forgiven for thinking this was a description of WAH-WAH’s signature knits, these are actually the words of the Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann describing the world’s first acid trip. On April 19, 1943, Hofmann deliberately ingested 0.25 milligrams of a new compound known as lysergic acid diethylalmide-25, started feeling a bit off, then proceeded to ride home on his bicycle. This story and the events surrounding Hofmann’s discovery of LSD have been retold in hallucinatory technicolour glory by New York based illustrator, Brian Blomerth in his book Bicycle Day.
We at Wah-Wah have been long time fans of Blomerth’s comics with their psychedelic style and anamorphic characters. Naturally, we are buzzed to take a trip into both Brian and Albert’s universe, and come out on the other side with the most spun woolly knits you ever did see.
Details: 100% superfine merino wool. Knitted in China with Australian superfine merino wool.
Care: Turn your wool garment inside out, then hand wash in clean, lukewarm water, approximately 30°C, using a mild and gentle detergent. Allow to soak for a period of 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly firstly in lukewarm water, then finally in cold water. Dry flat in shade. Do not tumble dry. Warm iron. Dry Cleanable.
Olive wear a size medium for a regular relaxed fit and Joshua wears an XL for an oversized fit.
WAH-WAH sizing is unisex and the measurements above reflect the garment measurements in cm. We recommend measuring from underarm to underarm of a jumper (sweater) that you like the fit of, and choosing the nearest corresponding size. Keep in mind that the knitted superfine merino wool is pretty stretchy and forgiving, so there is a bit of leeway with sizing. For more info, check out the sizing gallery HERE.
